2017 Great Blake Race!

Thank you to everyone who has bought tickets to support the RNZYS Charity Regatta 'Great Blake Race'. For the first time ever, the event has sold out! 

You can still support the Great Blake Race fundraiser by bidding on our fantastic online auction which will be available shortly on bidding app Galabid. Details will be available soon.

Guests will join us and the Royal NZ Yacht Squadron on Thursday 2 November for the fundraising event of the year. 

This year's event celebrates great yachties - past, present and future, and raises money for two great causes - the Sir Peter Blake Trust's Young Blake Expeditions programme and the RNZYS International Sailing Fund. 

Ticket includes drinks and canapes on arrival, 'the Great Blake Race' on a RNZYS members' yacht for a harbour sail, an evening of delicious food, beer and wine, a live charity auction and live music. 

The Great Blake Race is the perfect day to invite your friends, colleagues and clients to sail with some of New Zealand's best talent. 

DATE: Thursday 2 November 2017

VENUE: Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Westhaven Marina

PROGRAMME:

- 1.00pm – Welcome drinks and canapes

- 1.45pm – Race briefing

- 2.15pm – Skippers and crews depart for their yachts

- 3.00pm – ‘Great Blake Race’ start – harbour sail

- 5.30pm – Approximate ‘Great Blake Race’ finish in front of the Squadron

- 6.00pm – Prizegiving, food and beverage tasting stations, auction and live music

- 12.00am – Event finish
